Licence to Cook

Licence to Cook and Teach Food Technology are national programmes designed to address the standards, skills and knowledge that support food education, ensuring that teachers and related professionals are confident in their subject knowledge and skills, and that schools are equipped to deliver a sustainable programme. Licence to Cook is an entitlement for all students in maintained secondary schools in England. It provides a programme to enable students to learn to cook and understand the principles of diet and nutrition, health and safety and wise food shopping.


5 a day

The 5 a day site is generated by the NHS; content is clear with some activities and information for both parents and children.


Eat Well

Food Standards Agency driven site with information on all aspects of healthy eating and food safety. It also has a games area for children.


Nutritionist Resource

Nutritionist Resource reflects the fact that healthy eating could hold the key to a long and healthy life, the website prrovides the public with easy access to nutritional advice from professionals. The site offers information about the areas in which nutrition might help, articles written by nutritionists, and the latest industry news. To ensure the professionalism all listed nutritionists have to provide evidence of qualifications and insurance cover or proof of membership with a professional body.
