Guidance: Copyright, Permissible Usage & Best Endeavours

The copyright for all resources added to Cookit remains with the original owner. When you add a resource to Cookit, you will be giving permission for this resource to be used for educational purposes.

Teachers

It will be responsibility of individual teachers to confirm that resources added by them to Cookit do not have third party copyright restrictions that may deny use of them.  If E2BN has concerns over any material that has been placed on the site, this will be disabled and the contributor contacted.

Any commercial use of materials on the Cookit site is explicitly forbidden.

If you have any problems with this or require further clarification please contact E2BN: admin@e2bn.org  for further advice

Students

We feel it is also important for students to gain an understanding of copyright and responsibilities when publishing materials. Therefore, when students upload their recipes they will see the following message, outlining conditions that they have to tick to agree to:

Please make sure that any pictures, photos, text that you upload to this site are yours or you have been given permission to use them. There is lots of material out there on the internet, but it all belongs to somebody (it is called copyright) and we cannot use it (it is illegal) unless the owner has given their permission. However, you can use any of the material in the E2BN Gallery (www.gallery.e2bn.org) freely in your work.

I agree that all the resources are my own, or I have permission to use them. I agree that they can be used by others for education purposes.

Best Endeavours:

The resources on this site have been provided from a wide range of sources. However, every effort has been taken to ensure that the information included:

  • Is factually correct
  • Does not infringe any copyright
  • Has not been taken from other sites or sources without proper attribution
  • Is appropriate for the teaching of the topic. Particular care has been taken over the appropriateness of the language used

Despite this, we acknowledge that mistakes can occur. If you find anything on the site that you feel requires further investigation, please contact our office admin@e2bn.org
