Very tasty and relatively healthy as a tea-time treat. A quarter of a teaspoon of dry mustard added with the flour, can help to bring out the cheese flavour. Other tasty cheeses can be substituted for Cheddar.

Making and cooking it
  1. Pre heat the oven to 200C
  2. Lightly grease the baking tray
  3. Mix flour, cheese, butter and salt until mixture resembles breadcrumbs
  4. Next, add the milk and yoghurt then stir until a dough is formed
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface
  6. Roll out the dough with the rolling pin until it is 2cm thick
  7. Cut the dough with a round cutter and then place the scones on the baking tray
  8. Cook in oven for 12-15 minutes
  9. Let the scones cool for 5-10 minutes
