mine rose and then went flat... what dose that mean? If the mixture rises and then sinks, it has not cooked through enough in the middle to hold it's shape. Try cooking them for a little longer next time. Brownies are usually gooey in the middle so you can't test with a skewer like a cake, they should however be firm not sticky in the center. I'm not a big lover of nuts or anything like that so in stead of putting them in i like to break up little pieces of chocolate and stir it into the finished mixture before putting it in the oven. It's so nice! Honestly, any chocolate lover will really enjoy it.

Is it the same temperature for a fan assisted oven? Thanks. OK, we don't have a fan oven but having asked around we are told that if you are using a fan oven reduce the cooking temperature by 20C less than the recipe states and keep the same cooking time. We can't promise this but hope the advice helps. The Cookit Team
