  • 175g (7oz) plain flour
  • 100g (4oz) butter or margarine
  • 50g (2oz) sugar
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cookie Cutter
  • Baking Tray
  • Wire Tray

  1. Pre-heat oven to 150°C/300°f/Gas Mark 2
  2. Cream the butter or margarine and sugar together until they are light and fluffy
  3. Stir in the flour and once mixed knead the dough together until it forms a ball, add a sprinkle of flour if the dough is at all sticky
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 5mm thick
  5. Cut out the dough using your chosen cutter
  6. Place the biscuits on a floured baking tray and bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown
  7. Let the biscuits cool on a wire tray before decorating with trousers!
