Easy to make loaf.
Ingredients
  • 1½ kilograms (3½lb) strong brown flour
  • 15ml (1 tablespoon) sugar
  • 25ml (1½ tablespoons) salt
  • 60ml (4 tablespoons) dried yeast

  • Small Bowl
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Loaf Tin
  • Wire Tray
Making and cooking it
Always wash your hands before preparing food Always wash your hands before preparing food.

  1. Mix the yeast with warm water (50°c) and sugar and leave to work
  2. Once the yeast has started working (started foaming) mix it with the flour until it becomes a dough
  3. Leave in a warm place to allow the yeast to make the bread rise i.e. has doubled in size
  4. Bake it for 30 minutes
  5. Remove from oven and leave to cool on wire tray
