Ingredients
- 1½ kilograms (3½lb) strong brown flour
- 15ml (1 tablespoon) sugar
- 25ml (1½ tablespoons) salt
- 60ml (4 tablespoons) dried yeast
Equipment
- Weighing Scales
- Mixing Bowl
- Small Bowl
- Wooden Spoon
- Loaf Tin
- Wire Tray
Making and cooking it
Always wash your hands before preparing food. - Mix the yeast with warm water (50°c) and sugar and leave to work
- Once the yeast has started working (started foaming) mix it with the flour until it becomes a dough
- Leave in a warm place to allow the yeast to make the bread rise i.e. has doubled in size
- Bake it for 30 minutes
- Remove from oven and leave to cool on wire tray
