A wonderful refreshing and spicy drink for Diwali.
Ingredients
  • 500ml orange juice
  • 30ml (2 tablespoons) fresh root ginger, peeled
  • 5ml (1 teaspoon - about 15 strands) saffron
  • pinch of cardamon
  • 1 cinnamon stick for stirring

1. Pour the orange juice into a jug
2. Grate the ginger and crush it in a garlic press to squeeze the juice out into the jug (throw away the ginger pulp)
3. Add the saffron to the jug
4. Stir well with the cinnamon stick
