Cheese can be sticky when hot, so take care when stirring that you do not splash it.
  • 500g Emmental Cheese
  • 500g Comte or similar cheese
  • 500g Beaufort or similar cheese
  • 1 1/2 Garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup Dry white wine
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1tbsp corn flour
  • 2/3 cup Kirsch
  • 2/3 cup Cheddar (optional)
  • 1/3 cup Camembert or Brie
  • Spirit Burner
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Saucepan

  1. Remove any rind from the cheeses and cut them into thin slices.
  2. Peel the garlic and rub inside of a saucepan with it. 
  3. Pour the wine into the saucepan, bring to a boil and add all the cheese. 
  4. Stir until the cheese has completely melted. Add pepper to taste.
  5. Dissolve the cornflour in the kirsch. Pour into the saucepan and stir well until smooth and slightly thickened.
  6. Cut the bread into cubes and the carrots into batons.
  7. Put the saucepan on a spirit burner and serve immediately, with the bread cubes and carrots for dipping.
  8. Enjoy
