Ingredients
  • 100g plain flour
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 100g caster sugar (if not, just granulated sugar )
  • 2 eggs
Equipment
  • Bowl
  • Measuring scale
  • Plate
  • 1 spoon (another if needed)
  • Fork 
  • 1 round cake tin (if you like, use a different shape cake tin)
  • Small bowl (for the eggs)
Making and cooking it
Always wash your hands before preparing food Always wash your hands before preparing food.

  1. Weigh 100g of plain flour then serve it on a spare plate
  2. Weigh 100g of sugar then put it into bowl
  3. Weigh 100g of butter, then cut it into small pieces into bowl
  4. Mix them together until it is soft and smooth
  5. Batter 1 egg then put it into bowl until it is smooth then do the same with other egg
  6. Sieve 1/2 of the flour into bowl, then stir into the mixture
  7. Do the same with the other half of the flour by sieving it then stir it together until smooth and light
  8. Then, use some butter and smear it into the cake tin
  9. Pour mixture into the cake tin and take it into the oven for 25-30 mins, gas mark 5
  10. Once cake is cooked, take it out of the oven and leave it out on a cooling rack until it is cool 
  11. Take the cake out of the tin. Once done, enjoy
