  • 100g butter or margarine
  • 75g golden syrup
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 50g seedless raisins
  • 200g mixed sweet biscuits, crushed
  • 100g plain choclate
  • Greased baking tin
  • Weighing scales 
  • Saucepan 
  • Food processor
  • Wooden spoon

  1. Grease the baking tin with margarine
  2. Weigh the ingredients
  3. Blitz the biscuits in the food processor
  4. In the saucepan, melt margarine, cocoa powder and golden syrup over a low heat
  5. Remove from the heat and stir in the crushed biscuits
  6. Press into the prepared tin
  7. Put in the fridge to cool
  8. Meanwhile melt the choclate in a basin over a pan of boiling water
  9. Remove from the heat and spread over cake
  10. Leave until the chocolate has set and then cut into small wedges
