Tuna wraps make a great lunch box or picnic item. The salad gives them a good crunch which goes perfectly with the creamy tuna.
The tuna and sweetcorn filling is great in jacket potatoes, pitta bread and sandwiches too.
Ingredients
- 1 tin of tuna (130g)
- 1 small tin of sweetcorn (198g)
- a tablespoon of low fat mayonnaise
- A few salad leaves
- about 3cm of cucumber sliced
- a tomato or 1/2 small red pepper sliced
- 4 wholemeal wraps
Healthier version
- Use tuna in spring water rather than in oil
- Use low fat mayonnaise to cut down the fat you add
- Add plenty of salad into your wrap
- Use wholemeal wraps rather than white, the extra fibre is better for you
Equipment
- a small mixing bowl,
- tin opener
- tablespoon
- vegetable knife and chopping board to prepare the salad
- a fork to mix with
Making and cooking it

- Open the tuna and drain
- Put the tuna in a bowl
- Open and drain the sweetcorn, add to the bowl
- Add the mayonnaise and mix well
- Put the slad in the wraps
- Add the tuna mixture
- Roll and enjoy
