Ingredients
- 1 small/medium sweet potato per person
- sunflower oil
- butter or margarine
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- grated vegetarian Cheddar cheese to serve
Healthier version
Leave out the butter and cheese, have baked beans or a tomato and onion sauce instead
Equipment
- Scrubbing Brush
- Kitchen Foil
- Knife
Making and cooking it

- Scrub the sweet potatoes and brush with a little of the oil
- Wrap each sweet potato in a sheet of kitchen foil
- Cook the potatoes on a hot barbeque for 40-60 minutes (depending on size) until tender. Turn them every 5 - 10 minutes
- When cooked, open the top of the foil so that you make a kind of dish, then split open the sweet potato and serve with butter or margarine, salt, freshly ground black pepper and grated cheese
