About this recipe
Healthiness : (102 votes)

The more wealthy would eat their main meal in the evening with a well presented table with a variety of foods. Meat and fish would be high upon the menu as would sweet things - well loved by rich Tudors.

Having an abundant table was important to enhance the status of a person entertaining guests.

However, even within the family meals of wealthier people, food presentation was important, as was the order in which people were seated at the table.
